The Ackman & Ziff Family Genealogy Institute provides an enormous wealth of genealogical resources through the Center for Jewish History partners' collections and a variety of fact sheets ranging from "how to" guides for the beginner to advanced research guides for the seasoned researcher (Partners are the American Jewish Historical Society; American Sephardi Federation; Leo Baeck Institute; Yeshiva University Museum; and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research).
One of the main resources available at the Institute is a collection of more than 2100 rolls of microfilm with Jewish content, on extended loan from the Family History Library. These films were secured with the assistance of the JGS. For more information on the inventory and on the procedures for acquiring additional films, see our other web pages under this one, accessible from the submenu to the left of this text.
The Institute's Sunday hours conveniently coordinate with JGS programs that are held at the Center for Jewish History.
Through cooperation with JGS, the thousands of films of Jewish content residing at the Institute (see below) are provided free to visitors to the Institute.
Mon-Thu 9:30am-6:00pm
Fri 9:30am-2:00pm
